The #1 Reason why your Social Media Posts have Stopped Working
Back in 2016, I started a
lifestyle page on Instagram sharing reels of my daily life and activities. It
started gaining traction towards the end of the year. From 3 followers (2 being
my close friends), the account grew to an extensive following of 4500 followers.
I was engrossed in making sure I had a distinct feed while ensuring that every
post was in sync with each other. Most of my time was spent on editing (did not
enjoy it at all) and engaging (slightly better).
Fast-forward
to the October of 2020, when people were eating content at the speed of 100
posts every hour. Despite a great audience overload, my followers and
engagement both started dropping. The story makes for a great lunch poem, but
let me share some of the things I learned about Social
Media Advertising through
this particular phase.
1.
Your followers like your Content, not you
Reels
have made it to IG, reals still have not. People like airbrush faces with
peachy glow and shiny lips. However, content creators are not there on
Instagram to be liked! As someone who looked at this as full-time work, putting
too much effort into being real is going to challenge your off-camera
personality. Make sure your content is clear-headed, even if you are not.
Social media advertising can never be done with a confused mindset.
2.
Learn by Experimenting
The
biggest fitness, makeup, and lifestyle influencers on social media are not
trained by LSF.
They are
all self-trained but adept at their craft. Social media too requires people who
are not scared of being different, showing themselves falling off the cliff,
failing, and then creating better. The more perfection you show, the more
demanding the customers get until you eventually find yourself out of ideas and
content to offer.
3.
Use Data
Being
creative does not mean you can ditch the data. Having good data analytics at
your fingertips will allow you to get over stiff competition and push your
content in circles where it is enjoyed. You can also use a data-led pay-per-call company
like Ping Call(that’s who I contacted) to get precise data about your audience.
PingCall employs a number of data tools and sales call experts to find the
exact problems and content needs of your audience. In this way, you can create
content that converts within minutes.
very nice blog and helpful websites thank you so much
